Intro
We will take a snapshot of the following collections: OG Yunipals on Ethereum, OG Yunipals on BNB Chain, OG Yunipals on Polygon, Exomon on Solana, Binance Babies on BNB Chain. Soft-minted monsters on all chains are included, Islands will follow later. Based on the snapshot, we will allow collectors to claim clones of their monsters on the Ethereum L2 Base. The existing monsters will remain on their original chains and will be OG collectibles forever. No burning, no bridging, no gas costs.
Why?
With Yunipals being on multiple chains, it has become difficult to build cool features for the collection. Here are a few examples:
Trading Yunipals on ETH and BNB Chain has become expensive. It really shouldn’t cost more than 1-2 cents in gas to buy a Yunipal.
It’s hard to develop cool features when a collection is spread across multiple chains. For example, imagine we wanted to bring back Adventures (like the ones for Exomon), where you send an NFT to a contract, and, in return, the monster could bring back a cool reward. This just doesn’t work across multiple chains.
Now, we can finally bring rarity scores and other metadata on-chain, enabling us to build on-chain experiences for certain types of monsters.
When?
The snapshot was taken on September 19th at 6pm UTC (delayed by one day due to Exomon sync issues), 2024. The airdrop claim will begin as soon as possible afterward, and the exact dates, along with the claim deadline, will be posted. Please note that the deadline has not been decided yet, although some votes have already been made by the community.
